Man-watch Required is a podcast about the everyday life of a pressure equipment inspector.

Shoot the sh*t with us, as we talk about the challenges faced from creating equipment scope through to execution.

Your hosts talk just the right amount of smack to sound like they know what they are talking about, with stories and experience from the field mixed in.

Frank has been in the industry just over 18 years, and has been involved with in-service inspection for over 11 years.

With exposure to the in-service inspection world in the late 2000’s, equipment and piping inspection quickly became the career path of choice.

Frank Currently holds a Red-seal Journeyman Steam-fitter / Pipe-fitter ticket, API 510, 570, 571 & 580 certifications, along with CWB Lev. 2 welding Inspector, CGSB UT lev. 1 and the Alberta jurisdictional - ABSA In-Service inspector Certification (ISI).

Scott has been working in the oil and gas industry for close to 20 years now. With extensive experience in the fabrication of piping and pressure equipment as well as 15 years directly involved in refinery and upgrader turnarounds and plant maintenance.

Like any good inspector Scott started out as a tradesman then found his calling in quality control and pressure equipment integrity inspection.

Scott currently holds a CWB level 2, AWS CWI, CGSB level 2 MT, PT, XRF, level 1 UT, API 510, 570, 653, 1169, NACE CIP level 1, National Board In-Service Commission, ABSA and TSASK welding examiner, TSASK class 1 boiler inspector, ABSA IBPV (ISI). Wow that’s a lot of renewal fees.

Tune in to the podcast and I’ll explain which of these certs are actually worth the time and money.
